PRASLIN ISLAND RESTS ON A SANDY PLATEAU

Diving sessions are open to all levels. The island’s shallow waters are ideal for beginners. Divers are always supervised by PADI-certified instructors (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). All staff – Instructors, Assistants and Dive Masters are certified and insured.

We limit diving groups of 6 persons per instructor but most of the time it’s a group of 4. Groups are organized according to divers experience and level.

We practice drift diving: a skipper stays on board and picks divers up where they emerge. Each instructor is equipped with 2 devices float tubes. All staff members have received first aid training. Each boat is equipped with a medical oxygen unit, first aid kit and maintains permanent radio contact with the headquarters.

DIVING EQUIPMENTS ARE EQUIPPED WITH A FILTER SYSTEM FOR IMPECCABLE AIR QUALITY

Diving tanks are filled using a Coltri MCH 36 air compressor equipped with a filter system for impeccable air quality.

For a first scuba dive, there are no required procedures. If you are a licensed diver you will be asked for your level certificate and your dive logbook. If you choose to follow a training Course, your doctor in your country of origin must deliver you a medical certificate attesting that scuba diving is not contraindicated.

You will also be asked to answer a dive medical questionnaire which purpose is to relieve the center’s responsibility in case of an accident. All certified scuba divers are welcome, regardless of their certification organization (PADI,CMAS). At the very most may we ask You to do a check dive to evaluate your ease and skills.

Insurance-wise Instructors and Divemasters are all covered but we advise you to take out an additional policy in your home country insuring risks specific to scuba diving, especially payment of expenses and repatriation in case of an accident.
